ObviousA two person collaboration by David Glick and Tim S. Murphy Sight Specific Installation on Legislative Plaza in Nashville, Tennessee
|
|
Obvious consisted of 2 black masonite hardboard walls that wrapped 2 pairs of
columns at Legislative Plaza. Each wall was 8 feet high and each wall's
circumference was 64 linear feet.
Eight small framed windows were located around the structure for the public to investigate.
Located behind the windows were small images of two dimensional art that were not obvious from a distance. This section could only be seen on closer inspection when the public approached the structure. This created an intimate experience as a reward for the individuals who investigated the piece.
